February 2012
Last October we 'got wrecked' on board Whirlwind and we have just come back from a week of unlimited diving in Marsa Shagra.
The Red Sea in January is around 23 degrees near the shore so we managed to get away with just using one wetsuit on most dives. Marsa Shagra has a lot of turtles and one or two resident reef sharks which ocassionally come in to view. A trip out to nearby Marsa Abu Dabab provided a turtle frenzy and we also spotted a Ghost Pipefish trying to hide in amongst the sea grass.
We are now looking forward to the UK dive season, fingers crossed for some great weather this year.
